Bangalore International Automotive Expo 2010 a major draw
The second edition of the Bangalore International Automotive Expo (BIAE) 2010, which commenced here this week, is proving to be major draw for thousands of automobile lovers here.

The five-day Auto Expo will exhibit some exotic brands of cars and bikes from across the world.

Karnataka Chief Minister B.S.Yeddyurappa inaugurated the Bangalore International Automotive Expo (BIAE) 2010 at the Palace Grounds on Thursday (March 11).

The event has brought together auto manufacturers, component makers, accessory manufacturers and services under one roof.

A number of special events like seminars, races, buyer-seller meets and interactive forums are also scheduled during the Auto Expo.

"This is the only event in India in which you can in ... you can find all the activities which are going to gear up like anything. And I hope this weekend will (be) the most crowded weekend. It is the most exciting and heart-felting Expo in India," said Raj N Krishanmurthy, Convenor, BIAE 2010.

About a 100,000 visitors are expected at the ongoing expo along with business delegations from India and abroad.

"It is quite good that lots of companies have come here for presenting their vehicles. Out of which Chevrolet Camaro and Toyota Supra are very good. Toyota Supra is made for drafting. The overall experience is quite good; lots of cars and bikes are displayed here," said Siddu Mane, a visitor.

Organised jointly by the Automotive Research Association of India, Federation of Indian Automobile Associations and Karnataka Garage Owners and Technicians Association, the event will conclude on March 15.
